NEWS: Erika Slezak On MAD MEN's Megan Draper; Plus, Brooke Newton, Jen Lilley, Thaao Penghlis, Alison Sweeney, Tonya Pinkins

ONE LIFE TO LIVE Star Erika Slezak on What Life Is Like for Megan Draper
"My advice is: Don’t marry somebody in advertising. You know, it helps to have a spouse who understands what you do, and who is either a part of the world or just understands it and is very nonchalant about it, I guess. I’m married to an actor, so he gets it. I don’t think my husband ever watched love scenes, because he didn’t have to, he didn’t particularly want to. But he understands what it is."

"A producer said, 'I want you to lose weight.' And I said, 'I weigh' — whatever I weighed at the time, 120 pounds or something, which was a perfectly acceptable weight, and I’d been on the show for a number of years at that point. I thought it was rude of him to say it. I wasn’t fat. I was never skinny, skinny, skinny. But I had a very acceptable body. And I was upset with him, that he did that. And I did not lose the weight."

"The producer who hired me, actually, I used to come to work in sneakers and pigtails. And she looked at me one day and said, 'Would Joan Crawford come to work like that?' She was kind of kidding. But I think she really did want me to get dressed up just to walk down the street."

Alison Sweeney featured in Walgreens ads
Just before Memorial Day Weekend, Walgreens started running a blowout Web video ad campaign for its Way to Well initiative. The ads, featuring Alison Sweeney (Sami from DAYS OF OUR LIVES), had already made their debut on YouTube in April. But this time around, Walgreens was running lots of autoplay video spots all over a collection of Alphabird sites, many of the same sites that have been cited as being rife with artificial bot traffic and lackluster content.

Brooke Newton set to debut June 5th on ALL MY CHILDREN
But there she is. On Wednesday, Brooke Newton debuts on the soap as Colby Chandler, Adam Chandler's feisty and mercurial daughter. She seems to be settling in for a long stay.

"I'm so happy to be a part of this show; there's so much energy and it's such an amazing family to be a part of," she said in a telephone interview from Los Angeles. Ocala, she emphasized, "I still call home."

"We have amazing fans," Newton added. "We're hoping this is a long-term stay."

The Book of Esther Official Trailer
Available on DVD and Blu-Ray on June 4, the films stars include Jen Lilley and Thaao Penghlis.

Tonya Pinkins goes "Unplugged" at Joe’s Pub on June 3
"It will be about my history in the theater as well as shows I’d still like to do. I wasn’t going to do anything from 'Merrily We Roll Along'" because my part was rather small, but someone found a letter I wrote to Hal Prince after the show closed, which was pretty amazing, so I have to include something from that. I am going to do 'Rose’s Turn.' Also '"The Ladies Who Lunch.' I don’t know how a little black girl in Chicago came to relate to that, but I’ve been singing that song since I was nine years old. There will be a lot of diva numbers!"

AMERICAN IDOL Alums Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo Get Married

Jeanne Cooper memorial at her home
Corbin Bernsen: "I want to mention that we are having the memorial at her home because she loved her home and her home loved her. If you saw the Y&R tribute to her, you heard a story repeated about empathy for a door knob. Well, my mom loved her home and felt for it as if it were a living thing. And in many ways it was, filled with laughter of grandkids, swimming, Christmas' and Thanksgivings... She loved her home for that. It was part of our family. And her home is sad now. It misses her and I swear, I can feel that up there. So because of all that we are honoring her there, with her closest family and friends. I can already tell the house is happier for it. Planted roses up there all day yesterday (in the heat) and I could feel the house smiling... and a distant whisper of my mom's voice...'nice' and 'thank you.' She was smiling down yesterday. "
