Post YOUR Questions For International Soap Star Jo Weil

WE LOVE SOAPS TV is thrilled to have the opportunity to speak with international soap superstar Jo Weil, who plays the gay character of "Oliver" on the popular German show VERBOTENE LIEBE ("Forbidden Love").  Weil is coming to New York City and we are taking your questions for the popular actor who will be our special guest on the second episode of our new season. As we saw during our previous interview in 2010, Jo is clever, funny, and open to answering nearly anything!  So use the comment section below to ask away (and PLEASE use a name for an on-air interview instead of "Anonymous.").

Jo was born August 29, 1977 in Frankfurt, Germany. As soon as he realized that acting was his future, he enrolled in drama workshops and classes in order to prepare for his future in theatre and television.

Throughout 1998 through 2006, Jo studied in play workshops, Arturo Drama School and enrolled in private acting lessons for 2 years in Cologne.  While maintaining his drama studies, Jo was able to hone his craft with hands on experience. Beginning in 1998, Jo was able to support himself with his dream.

Currently, Jo can be seen daily, as Oliver Sabel, in VERBOTENE LIEBE (FORBIDDEN LOVE), on German television. It is on VL, that Jo has acquired a huge fan base for his portrayal of one-half of the beloved couple, "Christian and Oliver". Jo is also a columnist for reFRESH magazine.

    Hi Jo, after 3 years of happiness Chrolli seems to be at the end. In any case you will be in VL, but personally do you prefer to restart a Chrolli 2.0 or a different storyline as single or with a different partner?

    As an international fan of Jo, Thore and VL Christian & Oliver love story I'd like to know what happened that Chrolli screenplay has become so poor written recently. The script has become so weird that the viewers have the impression they're following a complete different storyline with completely different characters than those we've been following for more than 3 years.

    I'm a french fan of Chroli, Jo and Thore. I want to know, How, Jo saw the storyline and the reaction of fans in relation to this one?
    Because i know that Jo has a large fanbase.
    Oh, and if, sometimes, this is not too hard, between the shooting of VL and the different things he does (the events, and his other projects)??

    Hey Jo, in a recent interview in Cologne you asked to Chrolli fans to keep writing to VL writers about their SL. It's an open secret that Chrolli fans want Christian and Olli together and happy again, so my question is, how important is to VL writers and producers the opinion of the fans inside and especially outside Germany?

    You seem to have a really great outlook when it comes to life. I'm sure you have had your hard times,but yetyou seem to take things in strde and have a optimistic view of everything.     some questions from Cologne. As much as I love to see you as Olli, I would love even more to see you act new and different parts. Is it possible to do other stuff while working on a daily soap? How much of the scenes you film are actually shown on TV? If you were offered a gay part in another show, would you consider this or would you be afraid of being labelled?     I wondered what you thought about the way the definition of Olli's sexual orientation and his attitude toward it keeps changing on the show. First he called himself bi, now he is gay and is angry at Christian for (maybe, possibly) being bi? What is going on?

    I have just recently discovered VL on U-tube and am totally hooked! Must admit that main attraction is Chrolli storyline and really enjoy your portrayal of Olli and the various nuances you bring to the role.

    Do you or Thore have any input at all into storylines or is it totally at the mercy of scriptwriters? I would really love to see Chrolli reconcile. I was wondering whether you would like them to become a couple again or do you want Olli to move on? Please say it is the former ....

    Bytheway,apart from your awesome acting skills you seem to be a lovely guy and totally hot! Hopefully you will decide to do some theatre work in Australia in the not too distant future.
