Susan Lucci Celebrates Mothers Day on 'Steve Harvey' May 5 (Video)

Steve Harvey is celebrating Mother's Day all week long (May 5-9) and kicking the week off with perhaps the most iconic daytime soap star of all time, Susan Lucci, All My Children Emmy Award-winner and star of Lifetime's Devious Maids. The episode will air on Monday, May 5.

Lucci will share her own memories of motherhood and what it’s like to be a famous grandmother of four! She reveals one of her favorite motherhood memories, recounting a time when she had come home from the Daytime Emmys (after not winning, again!) to find that her children had decorated the stairs with construction paper, adorned with hand written messages about how much they loved her. They also proclaimed her to be the best actress in the whole wide world!

Steve Harvey takes the opportunity to tell Lucci how big a fan he is of hers, letting her know that she got him through a lot of "unemployed days!" He also takes a moment to reflect on how much his late mother loved her. "You have no idea what you meant to my momma. It's like she would now know I had made it. I've had the President on, I've had the First Lady on, I've had Oprah on. That’s nice. Susan Lucci? Ahhhhhhhhh!"

Below are two clips from Monday's episode of Steve Harvey:

Steve Harvey talks about how much his mother loved Susan Lucci. "I wish my mother was living. You have no idea what you meant to my momma. It’s like she would now know I had made it. I've had the President on, I’ve had the First Lady on, I've had Oprah on. That’s nice. Susan Lucci? Ahhhhhhhhh!"

Susan Lucci brings a Devious Maids-themed dessert that was made for her by the pastry chef at her hotel in Chicago. As Steve Harvey is showing it to the studio audience, he accidentally breaks it, proclaiming “I broke Susan’s cookie!” and apologizes to his late mother.
