GREEK's "Pledge Yourself To Do Something" Campaign

In the spirit of the country’s first National Day of Service and Remembrance, ABC Family is partnering with DoSomething.org, a not-for-profit organization whose goal is to inspire, support and celebrate a generation of doers. The season-long partnership will tap into ABC Family’s millennial audience and give them fun and easy ways to get involved in their communities. “Pledge Yourself to Do Something” will serve as the launch campaign for this new partnership and will be supported by cast members of ABC Family’s hit series GREEK, which airs Monday nights (9:00 – 10:00 p.m. ET/PT).

Just as fraternities and sororities encourage volunteerism on college campuses across the country, the “Pledge Yourself to Do Something” campaign has the fictitious houses of GREEK's Cyprus-Rhodes University partnering with three featured charities to drive viewers to make commitments to take action in their communities. The three featured charities are Girls, Inc., Global Green USA and Cancer for College. Viewers will be able to learn more about these charities and make a pledge to take action around the causes that matter most to them at www.DoSomething.org/abcfamily.

The event will screen the September 21st episode of GREEK entitled “High and Dry” for college students in Los Angeles, with a cast Q&A to follow. There will also be an opportunity for the students to learn more about the three featured charities and to pledge themselves to participation in helping one of the charities.

Additionally, the Monday, September 14 episode of GREEK entitled “The Half Naked Gun” features a pro-social storyline where Casey (Spencer Grammer) finds a way to do something by turning the Undie Run into a clothing drive.
