Funnyman of stage, film and television Fred Willard will guest star in four-episodes of CBS daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. Willard will play John Forrester, younger brother of Eric (John McCook) and father of jewelry designer Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer).
According to TV Guide Magazine, Willard's character is a traveling salesman-inventor and quite the party boy. He contacts Ivy while he's in the states and decides to come visit her in Los Angeles and reconnect with Eric.
Willard has appeared in over a thousand TV episodes. He co-starred with Martin Mull in the cult classic, Fernwood Tonight. He was a regular on Sirota’s Court, D.C. Follies, Maybe It’s Me, A Minute with Stan Hooper and Back To You. He garnered three Emmy nominations for his performance as Amy’s Dad on Everybody Loves Raymond. For What’s Hot, What’s Not he received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Talk Show Host. He received his fourth Primetime Emmy nomination for his performance as Phil’s dad on Modern Family.
Willard begins work at The Bold and the Beautiful Augusut 27, with his episodes set to air the first week of October.
