  1. Being that SNL has no current female African American cast member, my guess is that there will be at least one Michelle Obama sketch in this episode that Kerry Washington will be hosting. I know a lot of people mentioned the absence of a Black female cast member (myself included), so I guess this is SNL's attempt to deal with this glaring issue.

    1. That's a great point. I wish I had thought of it! The show gets a hot star to host and tries to cover themselves against criticism at the same time. I love Kerry so I'm excited to see what she does on SNL. The writing is always very hit and miss, and some weeks it feels like the writers are making more of an effort than others. Perhaps the controversy about the lack of black females in the cast will inspire them to give her their very best material.

    2. I forgot to mention that I'm glad she will be hosting (lol).

You're right, though, Scandal is a hot show with many fans and Ms. Kerry is very much in demand, so in that respect, she is like any other guest that SNL has when they want to capitalize off of that star's popularity.

And like you, Roger, I hope SNL will be inspired to come up with the 'goods' with their sketches for her :)
There hasn't been a Michelle Obama sketch since Maya Rudolph exited, so I actually am looking forward to seeing one. I wasn't being sarcastic there(LOL) .

    3. The last time Maya hosted was the last time I thought the SNL writers really brought it with a great episode beginning to end (obviously they love her). Kerry is such a big President Obama supporter I'd be really fascinated to see her take on Michelle Obama. It all comes down to the writing (I guess everything scripted does).
