On Saturday, June 29, the Manhattan Film Festival will host one of the final US film festival showings of Jon Lindstrom's multiple award-winning feature film, How We Got Away With It, prior to its general release later this year. Taking place at the Quad Cinema, located at 34 West 13th St., in the heart of Greenwich Village, the independent thriller marks veteran actor Lindstrom's feature film directorial debut. His provocative film has already received major honors, including a "Best Of" and "Audience Award" at festivals across the country.
Early reviews have called the film "a dark Big Chill," "a beautiful, polished film" and "a sharp, visually striking thriller." How We Got Away With It is an explosive tale about abuse, secrets, denial and revenge. The film's cast of notable actors includes McCaleb Burnett (Mutual Friends, Immigration Tango, Annapolis), Cassandra Freeman (Blue Caprice, Inside Man, I Think I Love My Wife), with Lindstrom also performing in a major role.
