NEWS: EASTENDERS' Ben Mitchell Comes Out, REVENGE, John Aniston Meets Justin Theroux

Ben Mitchell's gay storyline on EASTENDERS shocks dad Phil
Ben Mitchell, played by Joshua Pascoe, will come out and shock his hardnut family months after kissing pal Duncan. Dad Phil, played by Steve McFadden, will be distraught at the news later this year. Ben will be Albert Square's third gay character after Syed Masood (Marc Elliot) and Christian Clarke (John Partridge).

Ironically, his romance will develop after Phil encourages him to toughen up by going boxing with Duncan. But the lads end up being more than just sparring partners when they share a kiss (filmed yesterday). When shopkeeper Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) sees them, Ben is worried his secret will come out.

New Hamptons TV Show Won't Actually Be Filmed in the Hamptons
"She has a fortune. She has a motive. She has a Plan." No, not Cheryl Mercuris. This is in one of the trailers for REVENGE, a new nighttime soap opera on ABC that is loosely based on "The Count of Monte Cristo" that is supposed to take place on the East End. ABC has confirmed that filming will take place in Los Angeles with only a few cheap exterior shots filmed in the Hamptons.

KAY TAGAL KANG HININTAY (The Long Wait) is a Filipino soap opera that follows the dramatic lives of twin sisters Lorrea and Lorrinda Guinto. In the series, Lorrea accidentally takes the place of her twin sister in the world of the drug lords. However, things heat up when the sisters fall for the same man Boris. Lorea takes on the alter ego of Red Butterfly, the mistress of a powerful and influential drug baron Henri Argos in the search of her son Andrei who is now called Yuri by his adopted parents.

'Suite' cast party will assist Friendship House
A cast party with actors from the WilleyWorld production of "Plaza Suite" will run from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at JJ's Sports Pub and Grill, 104 W. Main St., Ottawa. Cast members to be in attendance will include Walt Willey and Taylor Miller of ALL MY CHILDREN and Kale Browne of ANOTHER WORLD.
