Brett Claywell Dishes on “Kish”

ONE LIFE TO LIVE's Brett Claywell recently spoke with AfterElton about his role as Kyle Lewis on the sudser.

AE: Were you surprised at the reaction from the viewers? Even before we actually saw anything on screen, the whole thing leaked out, and people were already so interested.
BC: Yeah, I definitely was. In the beginning, I was a little conflicted about the leak, because the audience wasn't being allowed to go on the journey with us because they already knew. In the end, though, I think it's really been a positive.

It's allowed more people to come experience that journey that maybe wouldn't have experienced it before. And I'm not surprised because I think Scott and I really work well together. I think the story is written in a way that's honest and organic, and I think a lot of people can relate to it. I feel like there's a lot more communication between Kyle and Oliver than there are words exchanged.

I believe that's something a lot of men and women in any relationship can relate to. I believe because of that, a lot of people are connecting to the story, connecting to the feelings and emotions rather than the words. I believe the support is going to grow and grow and grow. Scott and I both believe in our stories. We believe in what we're doing, and we're trying to put everything we can into it to tell it accurately and honestly, and to do justice to it, and to represent it.
