News Round-up: Divas of Daytime, Lauralee Bell, Wedding

Daytime Divas get down and dirty in Nashville
The Divas of Daytime hosted The First Annual Divas of Daytime TV Breakfast with Fans/Diva Concert on Saturday, June 13, from 8:00-11:00 AM at BB King’s in Nashville.

Eakes disclosed that AMC would be having a “cougar” storyline involving a romance between Erica Kane and Ryan Lowery. She then relayed an incident that happened earlier in the morning at her hotel. Eakes had wondered why Room Service was so late coming to her room until the exasperated female told her that she had just come from Cameron Mathison’s room where he had answered the door in nothing but a towel! Eakes said that the girl probably needed to immerse herself with a few buckets of ice!

DAYS' Molly Burnett rocks TRUE BLOOD
"Before I did the role I didn’t have HBO—which has obviously changed now—so I didn’t know the show. Prior to the audition I went online to watch an episode. I just selected one at random and it was the one where this crazed naked vampire [Liam, played by Graham Shiels] is having sex with a woman who’s all tied up, and I was like, 'Oh, my God! What kind of show am I auditioning for?' But my best friend, who watches True Blood, said, 'It’s OK, Molly. Relax. It’s not all like that.'"

CORRIE stars Lucy-Jo Hudson (ex-Katy) and Alan Halsall (Tyrone) marry
Following the June 13 nuptials, the newlyweds-who were engaged in February 2008 after being lovestruck on the set of CORONATION STREET four years ago-welcomed family and friends to a reception at Peckforth Castle.

Deep Soap: Swept Under The Rug
Sara Bibel writes: "I find dropped plots incredibly frustrating because they are sloppy and unnecessary. It’s better to have a quick, trite resolution to a story that the show has decided to cut than none at all. With hundreds of episodes a year, there is plenty of room to throw in a couple of wrap up scenes. It’s inexcusable to deny the audience closure by not giving any sort of resolution."

INTERVIEW: Y&R's Lauralee Bell (ex-Christine)
"I'm in a family dinner situation every day of my life in terms of just the insanity and running to auditions when kids are screaming in the background and I'm trying to remember a line [laughs]. I live a little bit of the chaos of it all, and I think everyone does. I just think that when you say the word "family," everyone can relate to it."
