News Round-up: Emma Samms, McIntyre, Tointon

INTERVIEW: GH's Emma Samms (Holly)
"I think it’s safe to say that Holly always has an agenda. I think there are a lot of people who are very keen on having her reunited with Scorpio, because that was such a successful pairing. But, what people have to remember is that she has been on her own for a long time, and it’s quite likely that she will revert back to type, which is a con artist. She’s from a whole family of swindlers and thieves, and in truth, it makes much more sense for her to be that character, if the writers are kind enough to bring me back every now and then. Holly is the type of character that you can bring back to cause a little trouble and than leave again. That idea of coming in and out of the plot and the show is what I am so happy to do."

Drug addiction plot on the way for CORRIE character

Joe (Reece Dinsdale) begins to lie to doctors so that they will prescribe him more powerful drugs and he then starts to suffer from nasty mood swings, says a report in The Sun.

GREY'S Chyler Leigh (Lexie) ON T.R. Knight's potential exit
"I'm not even sure T.R. knows [what the future holds]. I don't think anybody knows what's going to happen."

Kara Tointon: No more soap jobs
Kara Tointon has admitted she won't be looking for another job in a soap anytime soon. The actress leaves EASTENDERS in the summer, and said she'd prefer to branch out in other areas rather than return to a serial. "I would love to try something different just to have another adventure almost because I have sort of done that now," she said.

INTERVIEW: Soap vet Linda Dano
"Just recently I, along with Stephen Schnetzer (Cass), John Bolger (Gabe), Mark Pinter (Grant) and David Forsyth (John), we all got together under the heading of Linda Laundra, who was one of our most beloved producers. She asked all of us to do a reading on tape. I hadn’t seen David for a few years. I saw Mark maybe last year. I see Stephen more than anybody, and John Bolger. I came in from Connecticut, but most of them came from far away places. John came in from Boston, and Stephen came in from Washington, DC where he’s in a play. We all got there and it was like we started in the middle of a sentence. It was memorable. We were all so grateful to Linda for inviting us to do this. We did it for free, nothing was spoken about money. We just came because 1) We all love her, and 2) we all love each other. How wonderful to spend an afternoon together!"
