According to Soap Opera Digest, Emme Rylan (previously known as Marcy Rylan) has joined the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL as Lulu Spencer Falconeri, replacing Julie Marie Berman, who announced her departure last week. Rylan played Lizzie Spaulding in GUIDING LIGHT, then moved to THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS to play Abby Carlton. She was let go for Y&R last year but recently brought back on a recurring basis.
The first airdate for Rylan on GH has not yet been announced.

WHy the name change?
Nelson: IIRC, Marcy legally changed her first name to Emme a few years ago; I don't recall the exact reasoning behind it, however.
I don't want her.
Can't wait for her to start !!! She is incredible.

I'm heart broken that Julie left but I'm super happy It's Emme that's taking over. loved her as Lizzie and Abby on Y&R and Guding light. I think she'll do fine as Lulu,I just hope her Lulu and Dante have Chemistry.

I have admired her work since "Bring it on" back in.'06. Best of luck as LuLu... It's hard for viewers to adjust after an actress has played a character for so long.... But I have no doubt she will win everyone.over__ yes, Julie had an uncanny resemblance to Genie. But that's more the rarity than the norm_ good luck emme!!!
