COMMENTS FROM THE PANEL:
Connie Passalacqua Hayman (Marlena De Lacroix): Louise Sorel and Darlene Conley. The divine-a's. The best daytime comediennes, ever!

Damon L. Jacobs: I had the chance to sit down and interview Ms. Sorel at Alice's Tea Cup restaurant in Manhattan last summer. The woman I met was not only an articulate and hysterically funny entertainer, but also a profoundly deep and soul-filled artist. She is struggling to find the balance in her life between staying true to her own voice, and conforming to other's expectations. She is trying to act up and fight for animal rights while not becoming overwhelmed and consumed with tragedy and outrage. She is on this journey, like most of us, to live an authentic and meaningful existence, while frequently clashing with outside forces.

COMMENTS FROM CO-STARS/CO-WORKERS/INDUSTRY:
Peggy McCay: (works with Sorel on DAYS) Chic. Elegant. And smart. Sharp. She knows humor extremely well.

  1. Vivian and Ivan are always etched in my memory. Who else could work with Elvis impersonations, french fry costumes, AND a brain controlling chip in your tooth? I'm so glad that she is back in daytime, for however long.

  2. I just started watching Days in Oct 09, and am thrilled they brought back Louise's Vivian. What a hoot! Viv is a psychopath for sure, but Louise has the most amazing gift of making over the top material seem believable. She reminds me of the best character actors of the classic film era. Brava!
