  1. Sadly, the early 00's was when I realized that winning the Daytime Emmy was no longer as big a deal as it once was. Incredible to fathom that in '03 ATWT won just six years before it's cancellation and in half that time, the space of 3 short years, Benjamin Hendrickson would be gone.

I hope that theis year's Daytime Emmys can at least be streamed (folks would just have to get over it and get with the 21st century) but I am keeping it all in perspective. It's been quite a long time since these Awards shows have lifted the fortunes of a show or a person.

  2. No big deal, but I believe the 24th Annual Daytime Emmys were actually held on May 21, 1997... ;-) At least that's what Soap Opera Digest, the L.A. TImes, and IMDb all indicate. And one can still view Ron Gallela's 5/21/97 Red Carpet photos at Wireimage. Gee, he's got a nice photo of Sandra Nelson (who was already playing NuPhyllis by that time) in attendance. I wonder if "the two Phyllis" did a meet and greet?! .. lol!
