“We are delighted to have Blanca join Telemundo Studios to contribute to our upcoming original productions,” said Joshua Mintz, Executive Vice President of Scripted Programming and General Manager of Telemundo Studios. “She not only brings to our productions her great talent and beauty, but also a successful career both in English and Spanish-language entertainment."
“I am thrilled to be joining the Telemundo team” said Soto. “It's a team that strives for excellence; working together to create and deliver dynamic stories filled with gripping realism at top quality production levels. I can't wait to delve into the characters and bring them to life.”
A native of Monterrey, Mexico, Soto has flourished in the film and television world following stints as an international model and reign as Miss Mexico. Since breaking from pageantry and modeling, Soto has starred in and co-produced with Jack Hartnett the award winning short film La Vida Blanca, in which she received a best actress award. In 2010, she was sought out by Academy Award nominated actress/director Adriana Barraza to star in Univision's record-breaking series Eva Luna. In addition to telenovelas, she has appeared in supporting roles opposite Chris Pratt, Tracy Morgan and Scott Caan in Deep in the Valley and Paul Rudd in Dinner for Schmucks. Most recently, she has been performing to sold-out audiences in the play "Obscuro Total" together with acclaimed novela stars Aylin Mujica, Ernesto Laguardia and Fernando Colunga. Soto continues to work as a top model, as the official spokesperson of Garnier Nutrisse and having been featured in advertisements for the brand.
