William deVry (Julian Jerome) revealed the casting on Twitter. In a tweet to William Shatner, deVry wrote, "we have Shirley Jones coming onto General Hospital tomorrow. We r still hoping ur agent will let u join us for a few eps."
deVry posted photos from the set on Wednesday of himself and Thaao Penghlis (Victor Cassadine) with Jones.
Jones guest-starred on DAYS OF OUR LIVES in 2008 as Colleen Brady. There's no word yet on who she will be playing on GH.
She won the Oscar in 1961 as Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her work in Elmer Gantry.
What Disney doesn't understand that it was nice having a repeat of the soaps because whenever the news or the Presidet interrupts our soaps during the day, we always had Soapnet to watch what was missed.
ReplyDeleteSometimes their are interruptions, that are not needed, like a Pres. speech that will be repeated on EVERY news channel that exists, and our shows are not shown. Soapnet allowed us to watch them later. This is so ridiculous. Also, if you work and don't record you would be able to enjoy the shows that night.
ReplyDeleteSorry, should have re-read. Meant "there"
ReplyDeletei had been sitting here thinking it was just charter had stopped carrying soapnet... it is the main channel i watch.. i have a disabled daughter, and since i have help with her in the daytime, i sleep then, and stay up at night ...this was how i was keeping up with my shows...there are enough disney jr. channels, especially since they all show the same thing...and don't tell me to dvr the episodes...we live on a fixed income... i am lucky enough that someone pays for us to have internet and cable so she has something to do....i have never been so disgusted with disney as i am now...
ReplyDeleteFirst Hallmark, now SOAPnet...
ReplyDeleteThe world really needs another Disney .channel..Watching soaps On Demand sucks!
ReplyDeleteAGREED!
ReplyDeleteGO TO DiSNEYWORLD AND SEE HOW THEY TREAT THEIR EMPLOYEES, THEY CANT UNIONIZE OR EAT DISNEY FOOD. NOW THEY CANCEL SOAPNET. ORGANIZE A WORLDWIDE BAN.
ReplyDeleteextremely upset by this... being able to record on soapnet was great when u missed regular time or someone stops your recording or something "more important" (not) come on..please put it back on u took away one life to live and all my children and now this . what is the world coming to. you have all these garbage shows on that are very uninteresting and then the ones that people actually watch and enjoy year after year you take awy. idiots
