NASHVILLE-Inspired Docu-Web Series ON THE RECORD Features "Dreams," Performed by Hayden Panettiere and Jonathan Jackson

ABC Music Lounge's NASHVILLE-inspired docu-web series, ON THE RECORD, is live at the ABC Music Lounge with the original song "Dreams," written by Jaida Dreyer and Cory Mayo and performed by Hayden Panettiere as Juliette Barnes and Jonathan Jackson as Avery Barkley. The song is available on iTunes and ABC.com/MusicLounge and featured on this week's episode of NASHVILLE.

"ON THE RECORD: Dreams" goes behind the scenes with "Nashville's" music producer Buddy Miller, music supervisor, Frankie Pine, songwriter Jaida Dreyer and the song's performers Hayden Panettiere and Jonathan Jackson. Through interviews, fans learn how important this week's featured song is to Hayden's character Juliette Barnes as she grows as an artist and as a person.

"We were looking for a song for Juliette. When we heard that song, we just knew that was the right song," shared Miller. "Hayden's got a lot of depth and she can go a lot of different places with her singing. She won't just learn a song -- she'll put herself in the middle of it."

"My character is usually up in the rafters somewhere, so to do a song that was much more humble and focused on the lyrics, it was a really cool change," said Panettiere. "The lyrics are just haunting and beautiful and honest."

"It says so much, but it's very economical in its lyrics which is also a difficult thing to pull off as a songwriter," added Jackson.

NASHVILLE returns Wednesday, January 15 at 10 p.m. ET/PT with an all-new episode and new music.
