Telemundo Studios has announced the cast of MARIDO EN ALQUILER, a co-production with Globo now taping in South Florida, starring Sonya Smith, Juan Soler and Maritza Rodríguez. Gabriel Coronel and Kimberly Dos Ramos play the youthful characters in this passionate epic story.

The supporting cast includes Roberto Manrique, Ricardo Chávez, Pablo Azar, Paulo Quevedo, Sandra Destenave, Ariel Texido, Daniela Navarro, Alba Roversi, José Guillermo Cortines, Maite Embil, Ismael La Rosa, Víctor Corona, Dad Dager, Ana Carolina Grajales, Gabriel Valenzuela, Adrián Carvajal, Lino Martone, Jalymar Salomon, Anthony López, Adriana Lavat, Sandra Eichler, María del Pilar Pérez, Sol Rodríguez, Ahrid Hannaly, Gustavo Pedraza, Luis Alvarez, Nadia Escobar and Emmanuel Pérez.

The actors received special training to make their characters true to life, including Sonya Smith who learned to perform handyman tasks such as carpentry, mechanics and plumbing, and Juan Soler who took classes in fine culinary services.

MARIDO EN ALQUILER tells the story of Gridelda Carrasco (Smith), a strong and determined woman who works as a handyman to support her family. In the course of her work, destiny or chance leads her to Reinaldo Ibarra (Soler), an honest man and chef who is married to Teresa Cristina (Rodríguez), but he becomes enchanted with Griselda’s strength and spirit, gradually coming to the conclusion that she is his true love.

MARIDO EN ALQUILER is overseen by Aurelio Valcarcel, Executive Vice President of Telemundo Studios in Miami, with David Posada as Executive Producer and under the leadership of Guilherme Bokel, Executive Director of International Entertainment for TV Globo in Brazil.
