AMAR DE NUEVO (10:30 a.m. ET) is a 2011 Mexican production from Telemundo, a spin-off of the network’s 2005 telenovela AMARTE ASÍ (aka FRIJOLITO).
Child actor Alejandro Felipe reprises his role as Frijolito, who in AMAR DE NUEVO, is killed in a tragic car accident. He returns to earth as an angel to answer the prayers of his best friend, Palito, played by Jorge Eduardo García (UNA MAID EN MANHATTAN). The accident that killed Frijolito also put Palito’s mother, Veronica, in a coma and killed her husband. Frijolito wakes Veronica from her coma and to earn his wings, sets out to find a new father for Palito. Veronica doesn’t believe she will ever love again, but then Roman, a widower with three children of his own, enters the picture.
The protagonists are Patricia Garza as Veronica and Eduardo Rodríguez (CORAZÓN VALIENTE) as Roman; the antagonists look to be Jullye Giliberti (DAME CHOCOLATE) and José Luis Franco; the cast also features character actress/comedienne María Antonieta de las Nieves and child actress Briggitte Bozzo (CORAZÓN VALIENTE).
The five female leads are Coraima Torres (KASSANDRA), Luly Bossa (ZORRO, EL CLON), Andrea Gómez, Angélica Blandón (TRES MILAGROS), and Heidy Bermúdez (LAS DETECTIVAS Y EL VICTOR). Opposite them are Ernesto Benjumea (LA MARIPOSA), Rodolfo Valdes, Andoni Ferreño (LA POLA), Ricardo Leguízamo and Diego Cadavid (LA SAGA, NEGOCIO DE FAMILIA).
