Shobna Gulati quits CORONATION STREET after playing Sunita for eight years
Leaving the Street to explore new career opportunities, the 46-year-old actress said that while she will be sad to say goodbye to Sunita, she is looking forward to focusing on comedy work in the future.

“I have loved playing Sunita but, having played the role originally from 2001 to 2005 and then returning to Corrie four years ago, I really feel the time has come for me to focus on other aspects of my career,” she said in a statement released on the official ITV website.

"Be Vegan, Make Peace" is her mantra, and 19 years ago the mayor of Honolulu named October 25 "Supreme Master Ching Hai Day." All the lyrics for the musical came from the her book of poetry, "Silent Tears."

University soap opera goes down under
An interactive ‘soap opera’ created by the University of Cumbria has become a worldwide hit. A number of universities in the UK and abroad have bought into the online ‘drama’ which was created by University of Cumbria health and social care experts to educate a global audience.

A college and a university in Perth, Australia, and a technical college in Canada are now using the online program, Stilwell, in their classrooms. Stilwell is a web based virtual environment initially designed to support health and social care students and Continuous Professional Development at the University of Cumbria.

Former Fort Lee resident appears on 'My Life Is a Lifetime Movie'
"I used to watch ALL MY CHILDREN all the time and say, 'Wow, these lives are crazy,' " Barbra Reifel says. "And all of a sudden, your life becomes a soap opera."

Her story, in fact, is a chapter of the new Lifetime series "My Life Is a Lifetime Movie," airing tonight. In 2008, Reifel — then Barbra Mastromarino, living in a $1.5 million home in Fort Lee — discovered that her husband was the mastermind of what would be called a "human chop shop."
