Dominic Zamprogna Leaving 'General Hospital'

Dominic Zamprogna, who joined the cast of General Hospital nine years ago as Dante Falconeri, has left the show. The actor tweeted that he taped his final scenes last month. Zamprogna posted, "So you've been asking. I feel I owe it to you awesome fans to tell you that I’ve taped my final scenes. Going to miss you all and my GH fam. Good things happening tho. More to come.."

After Zamprogna confirmed on Twitter that he has wrapped up his GH stint, co-stars were quick to praise the fan favorite.

“Always very sad for me when great actors and great friends leave the show Dom was definitely at the top of that list was always looking forward to working with him didn’t happen enough,” posted on-screen father Maurice Benard (Sonny).

His Port Charles wife, Emme Rylan (Lulu), tweeted, “I am utterly heartbroken to see you go but also very excited to watch what is coming next for you. I believe in you! Go get em!”

“I miss you already son,” wrote on-screen mom Lisa LoCicero (Olivia).

His GH stepmom, Laura Wright (Carly), praised, “You’re a Rock Star!!!! I’m gonna miss ya !!! Now Go Kick Some Ass !!!!”

Maura West (Ava) gushed, “Everyone in my house will be watching you shine … you are so special to us all!” “So excited to see what’s next for you!!! You’re a great actor and you’re going to soar. :),” offered Chloe Lanier (Nelle).

Parry Shen (Brad) wrote, “We’ll miss u, Dom! U had me laughing in tears the last time we worked together. Looking forward to seeing your next adventures!”

Brytni Sarpy (Valerie) shared, “I’ve learned so much from this guy, from my screen test, to Vante scenes, to working at the PCPD… Wishing you the caliber of luck that matches your insane talent on the screen! Cheers to your next adventure!”

On-screen boss Vinessa Antoine (Jordan) wrote, “Onward and upward my fellow Canadian. I’ll miss you. All the best Dom,” adding, “PCPD won’t be the same.”
