On this date in...

1978: On ANOTHER WORLD, Rachel and Jamie argued about Blaine.  Jamie and Blaine had just married on the previous episode.

1990: On DAYS OF OUR LIVES, Steve (Stephen Nichols) died.

1991:  Jay Pickett debuted as Chip Lakin in DAYS OF OUR LIVES.

1995: British soap opera HOLLYOAKS premiered. It was created by Phil Redmond who was the man behind GRANGE HILL and BROOKSIDE.

2006: On AS THE WORLD TURNS, word spread around Oakdale that Hal Munson had died.

2007: On DAYS OF OUR LIVES, Sami gave birth to Allie and Johnny.

On ALL MY CHILDREN, Greenlee figured out Zach and Bianca's secret.

  1. Steve's death was one of the most gut-wrenching things ever on Days. I still watch these clips and am just destroyed. And, frankly, Stephen Nichols' and Mary Beth Evans' acting -- wow Mary Beth -- was Emmy worthy. Biggest snubs in history was not recognizing that work. It stands up today, too.
