1918: Future soap opera legend Helen Wagner was born. She died on May 1, 2010 at the age of 91.

1945: On radio soap opera PORTIA FACES LIFE, Portia was confused at breakfast when Marie implied it was a "good" day.

1951: SEARCH FOR TOMORROW premiered on CBS. It ran 35 years until December 26, 1986. The show moved from CBS to NBC in 1982.  Check out Nelson Aspen's SFT Scrapbook for some wonderful old photos.

1968: On ANOTHER WORLD, Lahoma tracked down Sam and insisted he come home.

1980: On THE EDGE OF NIGHT, Molly suggested to April that Draper go see Emily.

1982: On ONE LIFE TO LIVE, Bo gave a warning about Asa.

1984: Julie Osburn debuted as Kathleen McKinnon in ANOTHER WORLD.

1987: On SANTA BARBARA, Julia (Nancy Lee Grahn) wanted to enter the beautiful baby contest, and Ted was determined to prove himself to CC.

2010: On AS THE WORLD TURNS, Reid's car was trapped on the train tracks with a train quickly approaching.
