Chord Overstreet Officially Returning To GLEE as Series Regular
Overstreet joins a somewhat depleted cast of regulars inside Glee's McKinley High, which last season saw stars Rachel (Lea Michele), Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Finn (Cory Monteith), among others, graduate from the series and start their post-high school lives.

Vanessa Lengies returning to GLEE as Sugar
Lengies, who will appear in the show’s Sept. 13 opener, joined the Fox hit last season and quickly established herself as one of McKinley’s more eccentric and outspoken (and tone deaf) pupils.

EASTENDERS live Olympic torch episode see ratings bump
Perry Fenwick's torch run as Billy and Danielle Harold's birth - both performed live - attracted 7.32 million (31%) at 9 p.m. as well as a huge 1.04 million (6.1%) for BBC Three's 10.30 p.m. second showing.

EASTENDERS peaked with 8.2 million (37.3%) for its first installment, and 7.9 million (32.6%) for the live climax of its later edition - helping BBC One beat ITV1 in the primetime ratings.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES to take break during London Summer Olympics
Friday's episode of DAYS will be the last episode to air until the conclusion of the Summer Games. The show will resume on Monday, August 13.

Another attendee asked Valentini if there were plans to bring a steam room to GENERAL HOSPITAL, a nod to the famous set from Valentini's days on ONE LIFE TO LIVE. He laughed and said no, but, he added, "we are bringing a boxing ring to the show."

Golden Brooks to recur on HART OF DIXIE
Brooks will play Ruby Jeffries, a successful woman with acerbic wit who returns to BlueBell and makes quick friends with Rachel Bilson's Zoe. However, upon her return home, Ruby will encounter some unresolved issues with her fellow townspeople -- including Lemon (Jaime King) and Lavon (Cress Williams).

Random House TV launches to create shows based on books
According to the release, “Random House Television will work together with Random House’s editors and publishers, and their authors’ agents, to identify and acquire performance rights for the full range of broadcast network, cable, and premium television scripted formats.”
