WATCH: I HATE BEING SINGLE Season Finale


I HATE BEING SINGLEwinner of the Bing Audience Award at the 2012 New York Television festival, has released Part 2 of its season finale episode. The show follows Rob, a “relationship guy” who just got dumped. as he jumps around the Brooklyn scene looking for friends and girls. 


The finale episode was funded by a Kickstarter Campaign in December. Watch it below.





The episode was Directed by T.J. Misny (Broad City I Heart New York) and shot by Adam Newport-Berra. The episode guest stars Ben Kronberg (Ted and Gracie), Eddie Brawley, and Laura Wilcox. The episode was written and shot as a 15 minute film, and features high production value including steadicam, boats, montages, and some homages to Rob's favorite films (Muppets Take Manhattan, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the Movie, Wed Anderson films).

I HATE BEING SINGLE was created, written, and edited by Rob Michael Hugel, who also stars. Rob is a writer, director, actor, and comedian residing in Brooklyn NY. He can be seen on Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre sketch team Onassis. Rob is also co-star of a brand new mystery comedy web series, NIGHTS IN ULTRAVIOLET, and star of TECH UP, sponsored by Subway and NYU and airing on My Damn Channel. He is sometimes recognizable from ads for Avis, AOL, Bacardi, and the beloved Halls subway campaign portraits. He co-hosts a free monthly standup show with co-star Shannon Coffey (My Damn Channel's COFFEY CHAT) at The Gutter in Brooklyn, called Bread and Butter. Rob was the primary director and editor for BROAD CITY's first season, working on a total of fifteen episodes and co- writing four.
