Television is still a highly regulated medium but times certainly have changed since 1949. The blog My Retrospace reminds us of those more innocent times with a hilarious magazine photo spread from 1949, which enumerates the many “taboos” on that cool, new invention, the television. "Too-tight sweaters” and “too-gay drinking” were not okay back then.
"Television may be, as they say, in its infancy, but its a remarkably healthy baby. And censors are starting to worry about its morals."
