Sunday Night Nielsen Ratings: GOOD WIFE Down; ONCE UPON, HOUSEWIVES, PAN-AM Off; AMA's Up; BOARDWALK, WALKING DEAD, HELL ON WHEELS Coming Soon

Here's a look at Sunday's ratings:

- THE 2011 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS (AMA) stood in for ONCE UPON A TIME, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and PAN-AM but still featured a number of current and former soap opera stars.

- AMA delivered a 4.3 Adults 18-49 rating with an audience of about 12 million viewers.

- Last week, the ABC dramas delivered an average rating of almost 2.9 with Adults 18-49 and an average audience size of over 8.7 million.

- A year ago, AMA also managed a 4.3 Adults 18-49 but with a slightly smaller audience of about 11.7 million viewers.

Here's a look at David Hasselhoff's surprise appearance during the LMFAO finale performance.



SWITCHED AT BIRTH's Katie Leclerc and Vanessa Marano presented as did former ANOTHER WORLD/ALL MY CHILDREN/AS THE WORLD TURNS child actress Sarah Hyland. Drake (ex-Jimmy, DEGRASSI) performed "Headlines" form his latest album.

- THE GOOD WIFE was down 5% to a 1.9 Adults 18-49 on a robust audience of almost 9.7 million viewers.

- Compared to UNDERCOVER BOSS (in the same ABC time slot one year ago) THE GOOD WIFE was down almost 39%.

- BOARDWALK EMPIRE rated a 1.0 Adults 18-49 on and audience of over 2.5 million.

- THE WALKING DEAD delivered a 3.1 Adults 18-49 rating on almost 6.1 million viewers.

- HELL ON WHEELS rated a 1.2 Adults 18-49 with an audience of over 3.5 million.

ABC has the following on AMA:

· The "American Music Awards" was up year to year in Total Viewers (+3% - 12.0 million vs. 11.7 million) and retained 100% of its Adult 18-49 audience (4.3/10). In fact, the "AMAs" grew year to year across virtually all key younger demographics: AD18-34 (+5%), W18-34 (+8%), M18-34 (+4%), W18-49 (+2%), M18-49 (+3%) and Teens 12-17 (+24%). In fact the "American Music Awards" posted its highest Teen 12-17 number in 7 years - since 2004.

· Despite the intense competition during primetime, ABC achieved Sunday night season highs with its coverage of the "2011 AMAs" among Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. In fact the show generated ABC's top Adult 18-49 number in the time period with entertainment programming in 9 months - since the "Academy Awards" on 2/27/11.

· An estimated 32.0 million viewers watched at least some portion of the "2011 American Music Awards" on ABC during its 3-hour broadcast - unduplicated Viewers 2+ watching 6 minutes or more of the broadcast.
