1958: Australia's first television soap opera, AUTUMN AFFAIR, premiered. It would get canceled less than a year later.
1989: On GUIDING LIGHT, Will forced Mindy to take pills threatening to kill Rusty if she didn't.
1998: Norwegian soap opera HOTEL CAESAR premiered. It was created by Swedish duo Peter Emanuel Falck and Christian Wikander.
2006: GLEE's Matthew Morrison debuted as Adam (Hughes) Munson on AS THE WORLD TURNS. He would leave in late November due to a "scheduling conflict" and was replaced by Matt Cavenaugh.
2007: Farah Fath debuted as Gigi Morasco on ONE LIFE TO LIVE.

Wow, had no idea Terri Keane played so many soap roles. I remember her very fondly as Martha Marceau on Edge of Night in the early 70s.
ReplyDeleteBut one role that's missing from this list is that of Naomi Vernon. She played Brad and Samantha Vernon's mom on OLTL from 76-77.
She was also the only EON character to be tried TWICE for murder
