PREVIEW: ABC Family Tuesday Night Soaps PRETTY LITTLE LIARS & THE NINE LIVES OF CHLOE KING

Complex situations land the Liars in hot water in “Touched by an ‘A’-ngel,” an all new episode of ABC Family’s hit original series, PRETTY LITTLE LIARS, premiering Tuesday, August 16th (8:00 – 9:00 p.m. ET/PT).

Aria finds herself in a difficult position when trying to process Spencer and Emily’s news about Jason, while dealing with what happened at the park and her undeniable feelings for him. How could Jason be the dangerous person that her friends say he is, when he has shown nothing but compassion and vulnerability to her?

With Aria waffling on her stance on Jason, Spencer decides drastic times call for drastic measures. But will Spencer’s actions help Aria to see Jason for who Spencer thinks he really is, or only push Aria closer to Jason? Hanna finds herself in a different kind of prickly situation when she tries to play nice with her future step-sister, Kate, only to have things go horribly wrong.

Meanwhile, ‘A’ turns up the heat on Emily by trying to push her to a breaking point.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS is produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television and is executive produced by I. Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick and Leslie Morgenstein. The series stars Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Holly Marie Combs, Lucy Hale, Ian Harding, Laura Leighton, Chad Lowe, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse.

Chloe’s safety and that of the San Francisco Mai are gravely compromised as The Order’s determination to kill the Uniter intensifies, in the summer finale episode of THE NINE LIVES OF CHLOE KING, Tuesday, August 16 at 9:00PM ET/PT on ABC Family.

Still coping with her unresolved feelings for Brian, Chloe agrees to accompany him to meet his grandmother, Olivia, who was presumed dead. As Brian and Olivia become reacquainted, Chloe finally receives the email she’s been hoping for; her father is in San Francisco and needs to see Chloe immediately. Desperate to see her dad again and get some answers, Chloe agrees to keep their plans secret. Will she be reunited with her father, or will this meeting have fatal consequences?

Alek overhears Chloe admit to her mother that, while she does have feelings for him, she is in love with Brian. Heartbroken, Alek unknowingly leaves Chloe alone – and unprotected – just when she needs him the most.

Meanwhile, Valentina’s life hangs in the balance when she realizes that Zane’s intentions have nothing to do with his feelings for Jasmine. Paralyzed by Zane’s cruelty, Valentina is unable to prevent her daughter from walking into his trap and is forced to watch as Jasmine fights for her life. A horrified Alek finally returns home and is shocked to learn that Zane holds the secret to his past.

THE NINE LIVES OF CHLOE KING is executive-produced by Dan Berendsen and John Ziffren with Alloy Entertainment’s Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo. The drama is based on the book series “The Nine Lives of Chloe King” by Liz Braswell.
