Robert Newman's "Curtains" opens this weekend
"I used to do theater, too, with my time off from the GUIDING LIGHT," says Newman, who stars in the Paper Mill Playhouse production of “Curtains” that opens this weekend. "I’d perform a musical — 'A Little Night Music' in Pittsburgh, 'Shenandoah' at the Barn Theatre in (Port Sanilac) Michigan. Luckily the producer at the GUIDING LIGHT always understood, and wrote me out of episodes — although I was never officially killed off."

Lyndsy Fonseca on working with former Y&R co-star Thad Luckinbill again
"It’s so funny, it’s almost like a day didn’t go by. I mean its been many years since we’ve seen each other and he’s married now and has kids. He knew me when I was such a little kid, but it felt like not a day went by and we were back on set together again."

  1. Yeah, how long is it going to take for batali's "Spew" to get 2,762,000,000 loyal viewers. Shame-less liars at the rodent network. The grand Poprah is also full of crap about the numbers. Unless she can maintain giving away a brand new car or free trips to Oz to everyone with a nielson box, none of her lame talkshows will ever land as many viewers as "Vicki" and crew. Herr Frons is a "Serial-killer". See kiddies, this is who is going to come and get you if you don't brush your teeth before you go to bed. He lives in your closet and under your bed. Whatever you do, don't let your foot dangle over the edge while you sleep, he just may reach up and grab it and drag you under.

  2. Why blame Oprah? If all of these LOYAL fans that showed up this past week hadn't abandoned the show when they didn't like the writing the ratings would not have been the excuse Frons could use to cancel the show. Place the blame where it should be (i.e. Frons, the writing and the mass exodus of fans).

  4. Some people are so prone to bootlicking that they will ALWAYS choose corporate lies over simple logic. Oprah is not God. She lies too. Many people though, do NOT appreciate being lied to. If one is going to bother to open their trap, then at least tell the truth. Its not about having 'enough viewers' (they've increased over the past year and OLTL even came in under budget), the "new" shows are already doomed, it is about increasing profit margin by cutting production value. Like firing workers to slash payroll, so 'execs' can take home more cash. Nevermind that the NEW product that is being issued is one NOBODY wants. It is VERY short-sighted and will end with company demise...or complete re-organisation. SO MR FRONS ET AL SHOULD JUST ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY ARE GREEDSTERS AND WANT MORE $$ FOR THEMSELVES SO THEY CAN RETIRE IN DELUXE LUXURY AND THEY DON'T GIVE A FIG ABOUT THE FUTURE OF ABC/DISNEY...OR ANYONE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER. Trying to shift the blame to the viewers is completely dishonest and a disgustingly craven act of cowards. Frons and Oprah are merely examples of executives who excel at a corrupt game. Kudos on them for being premier deceivers and managing to claw their way to the top of a dungheap. (ick!)
