Famous for his role as Miley Byrne in the Irish soap opera GLENROE, he recently voiced a character in the Oscar-winning animation The Secret of Kells. Lally play Miley Byrne on the soap for its entire 18 year run.
Radio Disney G.M. Michael Riley Tapped to Head ABC Family
Riley has been named President of ABC Family, succeeding Paul Lee, who was named ABC Entertainment Group President July 30. In this role, Riley will report directly to Anne Sweeney, co-chair, Disney Media Networks & president, Disney/ABC Television Group, who made the announcement.

The major TV networks have broached the idea with the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences of expanding the number of networks that share in the rotation of the Primetime Emmy awards show to include cable networks and possibly to split it into two separate shows, one for broadcast and another to air on cable or pay TV.

Very sad news about Mick Lally. As an Irish lass, I watched many an episode of Glenroe in my youth and relationship between Miley and Biddy. He'll be sadly missed.
