On May 4, Sourcebooks is releasing "The Days of our Lives: The True Story of One Family's Dream and the Untold History of Days of our Lives." This new book was written by DAYS OF OUR LIVES executive producer Ken Corday, son of creators Ted and Betty Corday. Sourcebooks calls the title "an insider memoir" about the family behind the soap, adding that it will show fans "the true stories that drive the fictional ones they love on TV." They go on to say "it is about the family that believed in it, conceived it, and sometimes seemed to live it along with millions of viewers, as they struggled to emerge from nowhere to create and sell one of the most successful and enduring TV shows in history."

Sourcebooks is also planning a coffee table-style illustrated book to celebrate the show's 45th anniversary for release in the fall, as well as a number of novels based on DAYS characters.
Should be interesting to see (oops, sorry Damon, there's that s-word you don't want :D )...I was a bit struck by the release date: May 4. Hmmm, when was that? :-)
