Galen Gering/Nadia Bjorlin Join VENICE

In his "Fearless Fall Predictions" column, Nelson Branco revealed that DAYS OF OUR LIVES star Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) has joined the cast of VENICE as a love interest for Jessica Leccia's Ani.

Meanwhile, Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Galen Gering (Rafe, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) will be playing the brother of Crystal Chappell's Gina in the series.

UPDATED:
Suds Report checked in to find out which brother Galen Gering is playing for Friday's column, and although things keeps changing, Gering will indeed be playing Gina's brother and has replaced Jeff Branson, who is off doing a film, as Owen.

  1. Roger are these add on characters or are they replacing previous known cast members? People are freaking out..so if you have any idea. :)

  2. Stephanie, I don't actually know. I hadn't even thought about the brother being the ONLY brother. SOD doesn't say it's Owen. But now that you mention it since they are close to really shooting this first batch of shows, if anyone's schedule suddenly changed and couldn't be unchanged, the show would probably have to replace. But I really hope Jeff Branson is still involved. If I hear anymore, I'll post.

  3. Thanks, Roger!

I also really want Jeff Branson to be involved! So I'm hoping they decided to add another brother at the last minute.

    *crosses fingers*

  4. Nelson just tweeted: At this time, Jeff Branson is out as Gina's brother on Venice. Galen Gering in. Branson booked a pilot. But things could change.

  5. Not very happy with these last developments. I was dissapointed when Cosgrove had to bail and now Jeff as well?

I don't blame them and I'm happy for them but I think losing first Danny and then Jeff is quite the blow.

  6. I'm happy for Branson this means he's got a steady paycheck coming in and who knows GG might be a great addition to the cast.

  7. The actors all have such different styles and strengths that it's hard for me to imagine who each would have approached the character.

Katie, I think you're right. If Jeff got a paying gig, good for him. Gotta eat!
