THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL's Texas Battle (Marcus) appeared on Sherri Shepherd's new Lifetime sitcom, SHERRI, last night. Check out his appearance in the clip below.
I love Tichina. She is the one actress I have always thought could fill the Rowell void on Y&R. Not necessarily as Drucilla but maybe another strong female character to be paired with Neil.
Not particularly fond of Sherri on The View but for the most part I've always enjoyed her performances on Everybody Loves Raymond and Less Than Perfect. That scene was pretty hysterical especially towards the end when Texas Battle's character was getting the smack down from both Sherri's and Tichina's characters. And Oh Roger Newcomb not sure I want to agree with you about Tichina filling a void left by Victoria Rowell on Y&R or her appearing on any of the soaps for that matter as I think her talents are more suitable for Sitcom work (she has excellent comedic timing and delivery). That is not to say she couldn't handle a dramatic part. Think Monique in the movie Precious. Who could have thunk it.
Christopher, I first fell in love with Tichina when she was on RYAN'S HOPE and also enjoyed her on AMC. She has an edge that is lacking on many of the female Y&R characters these days.
Sadly, many female characters on Y&R are emotionally or psychologically damaged, especially because of their relationships with men. It's horribly sexist. None of the men ever go over the edge because of failed relationships with women.

ReplyDeleteThat was a very funny scene with Tichina Arnold (Ryan's Hope)!
ReplyDeleteSome time soon Matt Walton should be showing up on "Sherri."
This is a super-funny scene. He's such a youthful-looking 33-year-old (according to his IMDB.com bio). How long can he go on playing teenagers--LOL!
