With Crystal Chappell returning to DAYS OF OUR LIVES, the ultimate battle will soon take place. Bo and Hope have a love that is legendary. But, back in the day, Bo and Carly shared a romance and passion some say is unrivaled.

Let's hope there's more to a Crystal Chappell return to Days than just a tussle over Bo. Dr Carly Manning's had s whole lot of time to find disease cures, grow and change. Maybe Carly's more interested in other things nowadays.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she has changed and grown. With Chappell's talent, she has what it takes to flesh Carly out as much as she has done for Olivia on GL. But, there isn't any denying she and Peter Reckell shared a strong chemistry and had a large following. I can't imagine that DAYS isn't going to play that up.

ReplyDeleteOkay. I am a Boper for life, love Kristian Alfonso, Peter Reckell and Crystal Chappell is like #1 on my top ten soap actress list. Do you know how exciting this is going to be (now granted if DOOL) does not mess it up?!? I'm like a kid in a candy store waiting for CC's return to DOOL. God knows Bo and Hope could use the storyline right about now. I love Kristian, but I'm afraid CC is going to tear the screen up. And I for one can't wait. Crystal Chappell is riveting when she turns on the acting. I flove her. If this is indeed a played out triangle I know that CC will make me feel for her regardless of who she is stepping on or over. This is truly the best news that could happen to Bo and Hope. Does Hope even know about Carly? October can't get her fast enough!
ReplyDeleteI agree LA. I find the possibility of a Hope-Bo-Carly triangle so intriguing because I really don't know what I will feel when it plays out. I have always loved Kristian Alfonso and Bo and Hope as a couple. But Crystal Chappell IS Crystal Chappell :) Crystal is certainly going to bring out the best in Peter and Kristian, as she does everyone she shares the screen with.
ReplyDeleteMichael, I love this "Crystal Chappell is Crystal Chappell" it's describes perfectly of what she is capable of. It's like Prince or Oprah. You know exactly what or who they are. They don't need a last name. When you think of CC, you exactly what she is capable of.
ReplyDeleteI also watch GL, and I am bummed about the cancellation, but like you said, Crystal Chappell is Crystal Chappell" Kristian is a very good actress, and I'm not trying to put her down or anything, but she is going have to rise to the occasion when CC sweeps through town because she will eat her alive.
Just when everyone starts hating on the Daytime industry, we get a jolt that says "we ain't dead yet bitches!" The Bo/Hope/Billie triangle could never ever be revived again, but Hope/Bo/Carly? Ohhh the possibilities are endless! Can't wait.
I have such mixed emotions. On one hand, I'm devastated to be losing GL and the Otalia relationship. However, if we are forced to deal with this, seeing CC on DAYS is the next best thing. I never bought into the Hope-Bo-Billie tringle because to me it wasn't a contest. I just didn't believe Bo would ever want to be with Billie over Hope. But when Bo and Carly were together, there was a deep passion and connection there. And Crystal now arguably becomes the best actress on DAYS and I am just very interested to see the interactions between Hope and Carly, and how Crystal can rejuvenate Kristian. If I was writing it, Hope would never have heard of Carly before. Considering Carly's connections to former Salem residents connected to Hope and even current ones, it could create lots of drama.
ReplyDeleteI can't help but be a life long Crystal Chappell fan. Carly/Bo were a dynamic pair in the 90's and I will be curious to see if the chemistry is still there. Plus a love triangle involving two super couples...This is gonna get enthralling. It should be a fun ride and the the drama, for me, is the most amusing reason to watch daytime dramas.

ReplyDeleteI do not like Crystal Chappell returning to DOOL. Seeing her with PR/Bo makes sick to my stomach. What I really don't like is some of the comments that she has made in interviews. In an interview, she was quoted as saying that she knew that Bo and Hope fans would be upset and give her flake, but she didn't care as long as the storyline was interesting and exciting to her. This tells me that she doesn't care about not only the Bo and Hope fans, but also about the DOOL fans. She only cares about herself. It also proves that she lied when she was quoted in another interview about her return to DOOL when she said that her character Carly was not returning to Salem for Bo. Just what does she think that her character Carly is doing playing the poor, needy, innoncent Carly that needs Bo's help? This says alot about Crystal Chappell's character as a person. You can't believe anything she says in an interview. And in the long run, her return to DOOL will hurt DOOL, due to the way that they trashed Bo and Hope making a way for her to return. Her return was so not worth it.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that Crystal is back! I've never been a fan of Bo and Hope and I think their time has come and gone. I stopped watching when Carly left and have started watching again since her return! I am sure the writers will do a great job with the storyline and give viewers what they want...a Bo and Carly reunion!!!

I second that Amina. For instance on this week's episode 1-27-10 Hope confronts Carly and she is understandably still angry, i get that, but Carly set her straight on a few things. Such as when you were gone I did treat Bo and your son like gold, and she did. The writers have made Hope her own worse enemy, and she says it best in this same episode, that "I have nothing." She has what she has earned, by constantly pulling Bo's strings and calling the shots. She had to expect that one of those times, Bo would say enough is enough. I think the writers need to give Carly and Bo a chance, now that Nikki isn't an issue, or unfinished business with Lawerence,, etc. I always thought that was bad taste especially since Bo and Carly had an onscreen love that would make you melt. I don't think it was the same when RKK replaced Peter Reckell for sure, but and Carly in my opinion is the best daytime couple that I've ever seen on screen. They have a friendship and mutual trust and respect for each other that makes them interesting and passionate to watch. We all know how soaps go, eventually everything will expect Bo and Hope to get back together, but I really hope Bo and Carly can stay together, because I don't think he ever truly stop loving Carly, I just think her past, got in the way. When she was able to see Lawrence for the psycho he was, it was too late. Bottom line is Hope needs to pair up with someone else and give him orders, not Justin, because Hope's character is to genuine for him. It needs to be someone strong. Not sure whose Carly's daughter father is, but I wish it were Bo......
ReplyDeleteBooooooooooo Carly! Bo and Hope are truly amazing together. I know things have not been great for them in a while. I just think this will bring them back together at the end. Bo and Hope have been through way to much to end it now. Carly is to boring and Hope brings the worst and best out of Bo. I have watched Bo and Hope for at lest 15 years. Carly needs to move on with someone eles.
ReplyDeletejust because a couple has been together for a long time doesn't mean they should stay together...this is tv, entertainment...we want to see romance and fun. it's not real-life. bo and hope don't have that same spark as bo and carly! they r boring to watch...bo and carly have amazing chemistry and are super-romantic! people want to see more of that!
ReplyDeleteit's like a repetiton of how bo and carly started almost twenty years ago, she was his second chance at happiness when hope was supposedly dead, today when he was angry and lonely after hope moved out, she's his 'second chance' all over again. bo and carly have been cheated of a marriage and a child together. DAYS should keep Carly and Bo together, they share love, passion and companionship- they deserve to have a long love story line.

Crystal Chappell is not only one of the best actresses in daytime but in all of Hollywood as well. I work in the industry. She is pure raw talent.
ReplyDeleteI'd just like to remind the world that Bo and Carly will always be magic. Days needs to get its act together and reunite them. You can see, in Bo's eyes that he is wanting more than Hope, who is as fake as a three dollar bill, and that he is longing for Carly. They had so much of a real relationship; a fun one, a fair one, a real one. Let Carly recover in Europe and be with her kids for awhile; let her just get better. While this is going on, let Hope screw up the relationship between she and Bo and then let Carly come back and be strong for Bo. Let NBC realize that you can FEEL the heat off the TV, with Bo and Carly, (Peter and Crystal). BRING HER BACK!
