SOAPnet will air SOUTHER BELLES: LOUISVILLE COUNTDOWN TO THE BELLES, a 30-minute introduction to the five belles in its new original docu-soap, SOUTHER BELLES: LOUISVILLE. The inside-look airs Thursday, May 14 at 11PM (ET/PT), immediately following the season finale of BEING ERICA.
If SOAPnet is going to air a docu-soap, I would rather it be on the Bells (the first family of soaps) than Southern Belles. It's hard for diehard soap fans to root for a show like this. If it is hugely successful, it's hard to imagine that SOAPnet wouldn't immediately start airing more of this type of program and even less current or classic daytime soaps.
