The Drama League has announced the long list of nominees for its five competitive award categories. The all-inclusive array includes ten new tuner nominees, 11 new plays and more than 70 performers.
Several former soap actors were 2009 Distinguished Performance Award nominees including:
Christian Camargo, "Hamlet" (he's also Victoria Wyndham's son)
Matt Cavenaugh, "West Side Story"
Tovah Feldshuh, "Irena’s Vow"
Allison Janney, "9 To 5: The Musical"
Constantine Maroulis, "Rock Of Ages"
Susan Sarandon, "Exit The King"
Winners of all award categories will be announced at a luncheon set for May 15.
