Cablevision To Blast Out 101-Mbps Internet Service
Cablevision Systems will crank top broadband speeds up to 101 Megabits per second -- the fastest advertised for any residential Internet service in the U.S. -- with a launch set for next month across its entire New York-area footprint.

Audience Grows for CBS' TV.com
CBS' significantly redesigned TV.com has seen its video audience skyrocket, as the former reference site has become a consistent destination for full-episode viewing of TV shows.

According to the latest numbers from comScore VideoMetrix, TV.com’s unique viewer base soared by 401 percent to 3.5 million users from February to March (the site reached over 12 million total unique users last monh). Meanwhile, the site’s total streams surged by 153 percent to 7.1 million month over month, while time spent more than doubled to 30 million minutes.

Young singer Jamia Nash finds a cause
The multitalented 12-year-old who gained widespread fame after performing at the Oscars last year, was singing a snippet of her newest single at Lovinggood Middle School in Powder Springs. The following day, she would debut the entire song during a Global Youth Service Day celebration at Cobb County Civic Center in Marietta.

“Time for Us” holds special meaning for the former Atlantan, who dedicated the song to homeless children after learning, among other things, that one in 50 children in America is homeless. All proceeds from the song will support the Campaign to End Child Homelessness run by the National Center on Family Homeless.

HOLLYOAKS' Myra McQueen does it again
HOLLYOAKS' Nicole Barber-Lane (Myra) has beat last year's London Marathon time by over 90 minutes. She ran together with life-coach friend Janet Thomson and beat her previous best by over 90 minutes and came in under 6 hours. Fully intact with no injuries she made the 26 miles look easy.

Jesse Metcalfe to join CORRIE?
Tabloid reports have suggested that former PASSIONS and DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES actor Jesse Metcalfe is a huge fan of CORONATION STREET and eager to land a role. He reportedly disclosed to The People: "I am in London at the moment talking to producers, so who knows."
