Daytime Nielsen Ratings Week of Jan. 19-23, 2009

CBS's THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS extended its winning streak as daytime's No. 1 drama to 1,047 consecutive weeks, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Jan. 23.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS (3.7/11, 5.22m) also ranked as the No. 1 daytime drama in women 18-49 (1.9/11) for the 70th straight week, first in women 25-54 (2.4/13) for the 79th consecutive week and first in women 18-34 (1.3/07) for the 8th straight week

A week earlier, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS delivered its best women 18-34 rating (1.5/09) since March 2007.

* ABC ranked as Daytime's No. 1 network in Women 18-49 (1.4 rating/895,000 - tied on rating).

* GENERAL HOSPITAL stood as Daytime's No. 2 program in Women 18-49 (1.5 rating/1.02 million tied in rating with THE VIEW), hitting 5-month high levels in the key demo (since week of 9/29/08).

* For the third straight week, THE VIEW ranked as Daytime's third-most-watched program in Total Viewers (4.6 million), and places a competitive No. 2 in Women 18-49 (1.5 rating/993,000 - tied in rating with GENERAL HOSPITAL).
