More on Snoop Dogg's OLTL Appearance

ABC Daytime's "One Life to Live" continues to establish itself as a destination for the music industries top artists with the appearance of entertainer/Hip-Hop pioneer Snoop Dogg on THURSDAY, MAY 8 & FRIDAY, MAY 9. The multi-faceted performer will appear as himself and perform two songs from his 9th solo studio album, "Ego Trippin'," (released March 11 on Doggystlye/Geffen Records). In addition to his appearance on the show, he will put his own spin on the "One Life to Live" theme song for the two episodes in which he will appear.

"After the appearance of our most recent music guest, Mary J. Blige, we heard that Snoop Dogg was a longtime fan of "OLTL" and wanted to redo our theme song," said executive producer Frank Valentini. "We're thrilled that he'll not only do a theme for us, but perform and act on the show. His tremendous talent reaches way beyond the music industry and we look forward to welcoming him to Llanview."

"I've been a fan of 'One Life to Live' since I was a baby," said Snoop Dogg. "My momma always had it on the tube in the crib growing up. The opportunity to change up the theme song and give it some of my flavor will make the show the Life of the Party."

"Snoop Dogg not only represents another of today's top recording artists who sees the power of ABC Daytime as a promotional platform to reach a highly engaged, passionate audience of women 18-49, he's also a fan of the series," said Brian Frons, president, Daytime, Disney ABC-Television Group. "We welcome his perspective on the theme song as both a fan and as one of the most prominent voices in the music industry today. Music is an important component to daytime storytelling, and we also look forward to Snoop's performance in the series."

Snoop Dogg will appear as a special guest performer at Adriana's (Melissa Fumero) bachelorette party at Llanview's club, Ultra Violet. Not only will he perform his new hit single, "Sensual Seduction," as well as "Life of Da Party," but he will also act in scenes with, among others, Bo Buchanan (Robert S. Woods), Rex Balsom (John-Paul Lavoisier), Adriana Cramer and Roxy Balsom (Ilene Kristen).

Snoop Dogg's hit single "Sensual Seduction" was well-received, landing at an impressive #5 on Billboard's "Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs" chart. Making his debut in the music industry more than 16 years ago, Snoop Dogg has expanded his talents into multiple creative ventures including movies, video games, clothing lines and, most recently, his own hit TV show, E!'s reality series "Snoop Dogg's Father Hood." Snoop Dogg joins an impressive list of recording artists to appear on "One Life to Live" that includes two appearances by eight-time Grammy winner Mary J. Blige, Timbaland with Keri Hilson and One Republic, Nelly Furtado, Jeannie Ortega, Lifehouse, Simply Red, Chris Botti and Erykah Badu.
