'Another World' and 'One Life to Live' Alum Jensen Buchanan Joins 'The Young and the Restless'

Jensen Buchanan
Jensen Buchanan, who was nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards for her work while Jill Farren Phelps was executive producer of Another World, is reuniting with her old boss, who is now executive producer of The Young and the Restless. According to Soap Opera Digest, Buchanan will Elise Moxley, who is described as a member of Genoa City's social set.

"I was really honored that Young and Restless would come to me and say, ‘Do you want to do this part?’ “ Buchanan tells Digest. “I wasn’t exactly playing hard to get. I was just kind of retired and was sort of finished with that chapter in my life."

Buchanan began her career at One Life to Live, where she played Sarah Gordon Buchanan. She moved to Another World in 1991 to replace Anne Heche in the role of twins Vicky and Marley Hudson. She played Vicky for the show's final eight years, then reprised the character on As the World Turns. In 2001, she signed on to played Melissa Bradford on General Hospital while still technically under contract with ATWT's producer, Procter & Gamble Productions (Televest). She was sued for breach of contract. Her last major television appearance was a guest spot on Everwood in November 2002.

Buchanan is scheduled to make her Y&R debut on November 13.

  1. I wish I were excited but I am not. The remaining soaps have bloated casts and sorry writing (B&B is the best of the bunch when featuring The Avants and/or Ridge/Caroline/Thomas.) Why would I want to watch Jensen Buchanan or Michael E. Knight on The Young & the Restless in it's current sorry state?

P.S. This is a horrific picture of Ms. Buchanan!

  2. Hearing Jensen's name again brings me back to another World. Someone please reboot AW !!!!
