  2. Catherine (Jeanne) was always a mainstay on the Y & R. I just hope that the producers do not try to replace her...She has run the full gambit, the storyline focused on her being ill, let it go at that,,,,she will always be Catherine Chancellor,,,,No one else can take her place.

  3. Let Mrs. C. pass. Begin a new story line with Jill's difficulty with the death of her enemy and mentor. Let Jill's emotions show how much she cared for her on screen rival/and off screen friend. I think any character on the show as Mrs. C's friend should have memories as a way of saying good bye.

  4. Jeanne lived her life on screen for us, and so shall it be in her passing. She had such a passion for life and entertaining her fans. May she rest in peace from life, and on the show.

  5. OMG, What a scene to remember Mrs. C. It's as if she knew that was her final goodbye. Jess must be so broken? My prayers for her also. Many don't have a chance to say a final goodbye.

  6. I have watched Y and R since it's premiere episode. Jeanne Cooper has been one of my favorite daytime divas. So classy. She will be missed. It would be insulting to her memory and to her fans to plug some fake into the Kay Chancellor role. She was irreplaceable.

  7. It would indeed be a devastating insult to ALL Y&R fans if the BELL Co. even thought of replacing Katherine with a sad fascimile! The fallout would rock CBS to the core, leaving them in ruins in the Neilsen's (where they would certainly belong)! We all adore and will miss one of televisions beloved actors, God grant you peace Jeanne Cooper.

  8. Jeanne Cooper was the support beam that was Y&R. For 40+ years, she came into my home and into my heart and became my friend. It was truly an honor to watch her in her role as Mrs. C and to come to love and admire her! Rest in Peace sweet lady. Earth is so quiet without you, but do listen to those angels singing above! I do believe that's Jeanne who is leading the choir!
