PREVIEW: NBC Monday Night Musical Soap SMASH ("Publicity")

The Year of the Soap continues on NBC on Monday, April 23 with a new episode of musical soap SMASH, featuring special guest star Uma Thurman.

In "Publicity," Eileen (Anjelica Huston) introduces new beau Nick (guest star Thorsten Kaye) to ex-husband Jerry (guest star Michael Cristofer), while Julia (Debra Messing) panics when her son Leo (Emory Cohen) goes missing.

Karen (Katharine McPhee) finds herself seduced by the glamorous life of new BFF Rebecca Duvall (special guest star Uma Thurman) -- but can Rebecca be trusted? What will Karen's ascent mean to her relationship with Dev (Raza Jaffrey)? And will Rebecca drive Derek (Jack Davenport) insane?

  2. I couldn’t agree more, Brian! It’s kind of weird though, I actually didn’t like Smash at first. Now it’s become one of my “can’t miss” shows. Although maybe that’s not the right term to use considering I missed last night’s episode. I was bummed and thought that I’d have to wait for a re-run. Then a coworker of mine at Dish reminded me of dishonline(dot)com. It’s this free streaming site with tons of movies and shows. I checked, and sure enough, it already had the episode I missed. I know that a lot of the shows (including Smash) on dishonline is even available to everyone, whether you’re a Dish customer or not, so if you ever end up in the same predicament, you should check it out.
