We Love Soaps traveled to Peapack, New Jersey before GUIDING LIGHT taped their final episode. As fans prepare to say goodbye to the beloved 72-year-old soap on September 18, we are sharing our interviews with the cast including the lovely Jessica Leccia, who spoke to us about her character Natalia's arrival in Springfield, the "Otalia" phenomenon and her future.

Isn't it interesting how one storyline can change how an actress and her character are perceived?
Shortly after arriving on GL, Leccia's Natalia was unliked by fans, who saw her as someone who would destory Gus and Harley's marriage. Natalia the homewrecker was reviled.
But look at the difference a year makes!

Lucky for her she was paired with Crystal Chappell and got to make some commotion in the soap world. Which rarely happens anymore.
Nice to see the sweet person behind the character.
Wish her the best, one good thing, she has Ivy to keep her busy. I hope eventually she can get cast on another soap or tv show just so we can selfishly see her on a regular basis.

Loved the interview. Jessica is a low key charmer. I hope she gets to work when she wants as much as she wants. Damon, you're a such a soap fan and it shines through all of your interviews. I will miss reading and chatting about GL. Sigh.
