1965: Peyton Place's Connie learned of Allison's accident.
1986: Search or Tomorrow's Suzi crashed her car.
1986: Pat proposal was rejected on Ryan's Hope.
2005: Guiding Light's Olivia confessed to Bill.

On this date in...

1947: On radio soap opera Lora Lawton, Joe visited Lora (Jan Miner) at her London flat. She told him she was going to communicate with Peter through a series of pictures she drew for him.

1965: On Peyton Place, Dr. Michael Rossi (Ed Nelson) called Connie MacKenzie (Dorothy Malone) to tell her that her daughter, Allison, was injured in a hit-and-run accident.



1970: On Another World, Rachel (Robin Strasser) told Ada (Constance Ford) her clever little tricks helping the Matthews family would not stop her from getting what she wanted.

1978: On Ryan's Hope, loud thunderstorms woke up Faith Coleridge (Karen Morris Gowdy). She attempted to make her way downstairs, but fell when a banister gave way.



1980: On Another World, Jordan Scott (J. Kenneth Campbell) introduced Blaine Ewing (Laura Malone) to three of his bosses, including Jess Cooper (Bill Moor).



1981: On The Edge of Night, Gavin Wylie (Mark Arnold) and Jody Travis (Lori Loughlin) hid in the Whitney attic. When Jody snuck out the kitchen to get food, she was caught by Chrissie Summers (Debra Whitfield).



1986: On Search for Tomorrow, Suzi Wyatt Carter (Terri Eoff) and Cagney McCleary's (Matthew Ashford) car was involved in a fatal accident. Suzi died and Cagney wound up paralyzed from the waist down.

1986: On Ryan's Hope, Pat Ryan (Malcolm Groome) proposed to Melinda Weaver (Nancy Valen) but she turned him down. They eventually married on January 23, 1987.

1988: On General Hospital, Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) vowed to stay by Anna Devane's (Finola Hughes) side until Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) was locked up.



1989: Jane A. Rogers aired for the final time as Heather Donnelly in Santa Barbara.

1995: On All My Children, Jonathan (Michael Sabatino) threatened to cut Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) off if she kept upping the dosage on her painkillers.



2002: Actor Dennis Patrick died at age 84. His soap roles included Paul Stoddard in Dark Shadows, Patrick Chapin in Rituals and Vaughn Leland in Dallas.

2005: On Guiding Light, Bill Lewis (Daniel Cosgrove) confronted Olivia Spencer (Crystal Chappell) about causing his father, Billy (Jordan Clarke), to fall of the wagon. Olivia tried to deny it but finally admitted she tricked Billy into drinking to help Bill succeed at Lewis Construction.
