1981: Alexandra Neil first appeared on Texas as Ruby.
1987: Days of our Lives' Charlotte Ross debuted as Eve.
2001: One Life to Live's Melissa Archer debuted as Natalie.
2004: Kirsten Storms made her last appearance as Belle on Days.

On this date in...

1934: Musical radio soap opera Dreams Come True premiered on the NBC Red network. The show aired three times a week and revolved around vocalist Barry McKinley. Dreams Come True was sponsored by Procter & Gamble's Camay soap.

1953: On radio soap opera Hilltop House, Julie Erickson (Jan Miner) thought it was too soon to judge Gladys' performance. The episode was written by Addy Richton and Lynn Stone.



1965: On General Hospital, while the Flemings waited for news on their daughter, the attending doctor became suspicious of Angie (Jana Taylor) and Eddie Weeks (Doug Lambert).

1965: On As the World Turns primetime spinoff Our Private World, Eve Eldridge (Julienne Marie) asked her big brother, attorney John Eldridge (Nicolas Coster), to help have her marriage annulled.



1981: Dianne Thompson Neil (now known as Alexandra Neil) debuted as Ruby Wright, Billy Joe's sister, on Texas.



1982: On Capitol, it was a rough morning after the night before for a hungover Jordy (Todd Curtis), who learned that, in his funk over losing Lisabeth (Tonja Walker), he had gotten out of line with Shelley at the EZ Rider and had been decked by Wally McCandless (Bill Beyers), who had taken pity on him and had driven him to Julie's (Kimberly Beck-Hilton) place to sleep it off.

1984: On Guiding Light, Beth Raines (Judi Evans) almost made love with Lujack (Vincent Irizarry).



1987: Charlotte Ross debuted as Eve on Days of our Lives She remained on the show until July 12, 1991, when Eve left town with Frankie (Billy Warlock).  The character returned in 2014, played by Kassie DePaiva.

1988: Irish actor Whitfield Connor died at age 71.  He played Mark Holden in The Guiding Light from 1955 to the early 1960s.

1996: Paul Lammers died at age 74. He was a producer and director for From These Roots, and lated directed at Another World, The Doctors and As the World Turns, where he worked for decades. He won a Daytime Emmy Award in 1993 as part of the ATWT directing team. The cause of his death was cancer, according to his companion, Dr. Leo Altschul.

2001: Melissa Archer debuted as Natalie on One Life to Live.



2004: Kirsten Storms aired for the last time as Belle Black on Days of our Lives.

2007: On The Bold and the Beautiful, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) was upset she was not allowed to take her children home. Meanwhile, Ridge Forrester (Ronn Moss) told Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) that they both needed to testify on Brooke's behalf at her upcoming hearing.



2008: Forbes March made his final appearance as Nash Brennan on One Life to Live.



2010: On EastEnders, having secretly quit his gay conversion therapy, Syed Masood (Marc Elliott) still struggled with being a gay man and a Muslim. But as Syed's parents prepared for a dinner party with the local "matchmaker" to find their son a new wife, Syed gave his Qur'an to his younger brother and walked out of the family home in search of Christian (John Partridge), his former lover. When the couple met in Albert Square, Syed bared his heart and soul to the man he loved hoping they could reconcile.
