1945: On radio soap Portia Faces Life, Portia Blake (Lucille Wall) was confused at breakfast when Marie implied it was a "good" day.
1951: Search for Tomorrow premiered on CBS. Created by Roy Winsor, Search for Tomorrow starred Mary Stuart as Joanne Barron for its entire 35-year run. The show was moved from CBS to NBC on March 29, 1982. It continued on NBC until the final episode aired on December 26, 1986.

1981: On General Hospital, Jeff called Rick (Chris Robinson) from Nevada, which led to Rick and Lesley (Denise Alexander) discusses Rick's sexual needs and virginal Anne. Lesley and Rick grew closer but she didn't want them to reunite because each of them wanted a "bed partner."

1984: Julie Osburn debuted as Kathleen McKinnon in Another World.
1984: On The Edge of Night, Miles Cavanaugh (Joel Crothers) tracked Beth Correll (Sandy Faison) down in Chicago and persuaded her to return to Monticello.
1985: On Santa Barbara, Steve Bassett (Ashby Adams) died after being shot by Christy Duvall (Tricia Cast).
1988: On One Life to Live, Didi O'Neill Buchanan (Barbara Treutelaar) died.
1997: On Another World, Vicky Hudson (Jensen Buchanan) begged Shane Roberts (Robert Kelker-Kelly) to save her son, Kirkland (Sean Rademaker), after Paulina Cory (Judi Evans) hit him with her car.
1998: Actor William Joyce, who played Kellam Chandler on Days of our Lives from 1980-1981, died at age 67.
1999: On One Life to Live, as Ben Davidson (Mark Derwin) planned to propose to Viki Buchanan (Erika Slezak) at the Banner anniversary party but Skye Chandler announced she was married to Ben.
2010: On As the World Turns, on his way to Bay City to get a heart for Chris Hughes, Reid Oliver's (Eric Sheffer Stevens) car became stalled on train tracks as a train quickly approached.
