'General Hospital' Star Carolyn Hennesy to Ride Rose Float with Surfing Dogs

Carolyn Hennesy plays Diane Miller on General Hospital.
Carolyn Hennesy, Emmy-nominated soap opera star from ABC's General Hospital and New York Times best-selling author, will be riding the Lucy Pet Products' Gnarly Crankin' K9 Wave Maker 2017 Tournament of Roses Parade float on January 2 in Pasadena, California

“I am so thrilled to be part of the Lucy Pet's 2017 Tournament of Roses Parade float,” said Hennessy.“ “I know that Lucy Pet and I share the same deep love of animals. So riding on their float to further their cause is a win-win.”

This year's truly unique Lucy Pet's float will set two Guinness World Records for the longest and heaviest single chassis in history. Its theme will be that of a beachside paradise complete with an 10,000 gallon wave making machine and a group of surfing dogs that were selected from auditions that were held all across the country.

“We are so pleased that Carolyn could take time out of her busy filming schedule to ride aboard the Lucy Pet float,” said Joey Herrick, founder of the Lucy Pet Foundation.

“It’s a perfect match since Carolyn cares so deeply about animals. The Lucy Pet Foundation is grateful to Carolyn for helping us raise awareness of pet over population and the 80,000 dogs and cats that are euthanized weekly in the United States.”

The Lucy Pet Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) registered animal charity with the mission to reduce pet over population using mobile spay/neuter clinics across the country. Its goal is to reduce the euthanasia of more than 80,000 cats and dogs per week across the United States.
