'The Bay' Season 2 Now Streaming on Amazon Prime

Season 2 of Emmy and Indie Series Award winning digital drama The Bay dropped on Amazon Prime today.

"Fourteen digitally remastered episodes were released featuring brand new, never-before-seen episodes," announced the series Executive Producer, Creator, Writer and Director Gregori J. Martin.

The Bay will be free to Amazon Prime members in territories including the USA, UK-Ireland, Germany, Austria, and Japan. For non-Amazon Prime members, the series will be available for purchase for $12.99 per season or $1.99 per episode on Amazon Instant Video.

Listed by Entertainment Weekly as one of the top 4 serial dramas on the web, The Bay follows the affluent, yet dysfunctional Bay City residents living in a town cursed by Senator Red Garrett (Bruce Davison, FOX-TV's The Exorcist), an ominous senator who was murdered by his socialite granddaughter Sara Garrett (Mary Beth Evans, NBC's Days of our Lives). Upcoming in Season 2, Sara’s fate hangs in the balance when she finds herself behind bars and at the mercy of her fellow inmates. Determined to post his mother’s exorbitant bail, golden-boy Pete Garrett (Kristos Andrews, Pop TV's This Just In) plans to marry the starry-eyed Vivian Johnson (Karrueche Tran, TNT's Claws) in order to access his family’s fortune, unaware his nefarious step-father Steve Jensen (Matthew Ashford, Days of our Lives) has plans of his own. Events take a dark turn when estranged son John Blackwell (Ronn Moss, CBS' The Bold and the Beautiful) continues to seek revenge on the family he blames for destroying his. Emotionally broken, Janice Ramos (ABC's General Hospital) spirals out of control as she deals with the aftermath of her violent rape.

Recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), The Bay is a multiple Daytime Emmy Award winner in the highly competitive “Outstanding Digital Drama Series” category. Having previously won in 2015, THE BAY again won in 2016 after receiving 5 Daytime Emmy Award nominations in three categories including “Outstanding Actor in a Digital Daytime Drama Series and 3 “Outstanding Actress in a Digital Daytime Drama Series." The Bay won in each of the three categories at the 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony as, in addition to the series' win, Mary Beth Evans and Kristos Andrews were named winners in their respective categories. The Bay also stars many well-recognized and talented TV actors and actresses making their debut in the second season including Thomas Calabro and Vanessa Williams (FOX's Melrose Place), Kym Whitley (ABC Family's Young & Hungry), Christopher Sean (CBS' Hawaii Five-0), Brandon Beemer and Patsy Pease (Days of our Lives), and Carolyn Hennessy (General Hospital, HBO's True Blood).

“We're excited to bring brand new content to our fans,” states Martin. “The look and feel of our second season really raises the bar on so many levels."

Season 2 also has the mark of multiple Emmy Award-winning producer Wendy Riche (General Hospital, MTV's Laguna Beach), who recently joined the series as Executive Story Editor and as an Executive Producer in the second half of the season. “Collaborating with Gregori is a joy," states Riche. "His creative instincts, generosity, passion, perseverance, and vision are inspiring and I am honored and thrilled that he asked me to be part of The Bay Family.”

Riche also serves as an Executive Producer for Season 3, which is currently filming on location in Los Angeles. Acclaimed Daytime writers Karen Harris, Anne Schoettle, Julie Poll, and Michele Val Jean have joined THE BAY's writing team for Season 3, which will debut on Amazon Prime in spring of 2017.
