1949: On The Guiding Light, Bert Miller (Ann Shepherd) married Bill Bauer (Lyle Sudrow).
1957: On The Edge of Night, Peter Dalton (Stephen Elliot) blasted DA Bruce Thompson (Brett Morrison) during his television speech for having an affair with Ruth Sherman. He also used what Ed (Les Damon) had said to make it look as if Thompson's own staff members had lost faith in him.
1960: Coronation Street, created by Tony Warren, premiered on the UK's ITV network. It is now the longest running television soap opera in the world still in prouction. After the first episode, a columnist in the Daily Mirror claimed the series would only last three weeks. It is now the longest running television drama in the world. Radio's The Archers is the current longest running soap opera on the air overall. Guiding Light, which ended a 75 year run in 2009, is the longest running soap opera of all time.
1964: On Another World, Pat (Susan Trustman) had a dream about her abortionist, Mr. Alberts.
1975: On Ryan's Hope, Maeve (Helen Gallagher) and Johnny (Bernard Barrow) had a painful discussion about the Frank-Delia-Jill situation. They both realized that whatever happened they cannot turn their backs on Delia and the baby.
1980: Dana Kimmell aired for the final time as Dawn Marshall on Texas.
1981: On General Hospital, Bobbie (Jackie Zeman) told Noah (Rick Springield) that she was once a hooker.
1982: On Knots Landing, Karen (Michele Lee) asked Abby (Donna Mills) to be tested as a possible kidney donor match for Diana.
1982: On Capitol, Tyler (David Mason Daniels) returned to Washington just as Julie (Kimberly Beck) prepared to walk down the aisle with Lawrence Barrington (Jeff Chamberlain).
1982: On Another World, Blaine clashed with Cecile.
1983: On Dallas, Cliff (Ken Kercheval) forced J.R.'s secretary, Sly (Deborah Rennard), into spying for him. Once J.R. (Larry Hagman) realized what was happening, he had Sly transmit false information back to Cliff.
1985: On Days of our Lives, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) visited Larry (Andrew Masset) in jail. Masset ended a two year run as Larry Welch, but would return to the show in 2002.
1991: On The Young and the Restless, Jack (Peter Bergman) tried to get Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) into rehab.
2005: On The Young and the Restless, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) were married. The Bold and the Beautiful's Eric Forrester (John McCook) crossed over to The Young and the Restless to attend the wedding wedding. McCook previously played Lance Prentiss on Y&R.
2008: On The Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) visited her dead sister, Phoebe, in the morgue.
